About the Artist: Born and raised in an artistic environment, creating art comes naturally to Tokwa Peñaflorida. This young artist has no trouble getting inspiration from random things that he encounters, from a line in a song, to a sudden idea. His paintings and illustrations can be described as dreamy and ethereal that project ambiguous emotions such as love, longing and seduction. His style, heavily influenced by the Art Noveau movement also hints of a dark, sometimes melancholic tone with a tinge of sensuality. After working in an advertising agency as an art director, he is now a freelance artist. Tokwa is a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts and is also a published children's book illustrator.
